Kate Perry and Russell Brand to divorce

Kate Perry and Russell Brand are to divorce after just 14 months of not so blissful marriage. It's not his bad jokes either that are the cause of divorce - apparently Russell is peeved off with Kate's partying and boozing.
Like all celebrity disasters, the public are now drooling over the thought that celebrities are no better than us mere mortals so naturally, the tiny details of what caused the split are going to occupy everybody who doesn't want to think about their own problems. That would be us then.
Russell, who battled drink and drug addiction, thought they'd settle down and have a family. Kate had other plans, primarily involving parties and nights out inbetween her hectic tour scehedule - 122 concerts during their first year of marriage. The Mirror says the couple had a series of rows about Kate's partying. US Weekly dug out a source that waffled to the magazine about the big final bust up (there's always one) in which "She was like, 'Fuck you. I'm going to do my own thing.' Russell replied, "Fine, fuck you too." Kate then handed back her wedding ring to Russell, apparently thinking he'd cave in and come running back to her.
Russell instead flew back to the UK and then filed for divorce in LA, while Kate turned off her mobile phone.It has been widely reported that she asked him to file for divorce because she didn't want to upset her evangelical parents.Which is a bit "It's all his fault - I didn't want divorce, wah, wah, wah."
Rihanna has also become embroiled in the divorce with Russell disproving of Kate's partying with her best friend. When Russell filed for divorce, Kate jetted off to be with Rihanna in the Caribbean - and continued partying on. Most ludicrous of all were media reports of Kate flirting with a "Russell look-a-like" when she was spotted in a corridor leaning against the wall talking to a man. How far do they have to dig to find a story? Not very far.
Now there's the problem of how to sort out his estimated worth of $15 million and her $35 million. Which isn't the real story here. The real story is how the f**k does a comedian make $15 million. We can understand Kate making $35 million. After all, she sang about kissin' girls. Nuff said.
