Aim high and allow for the drop. That seems to be Lindsay Lohan's plan. She revealed on Jay Leno's 'Tonight Show' that an Oscar win was in her future and yes, she had made some 'poor decisions' in the past. Lohan has been cast to play mobster's John "Junior" Gotti's wife in a new movie but her 120 day jail sentence is threatening to boot her out of the movie. Lindsay also lost a part playing Linda Lovelace, a porn star in the 70's after she was sentenced to jail time last May.
The biggest thing she'd like to change was the public perception of her. "I want the public knowledge to be about my work, not about things that I didn't get into this business for, that I've put myself into positions where that was the bigger story than what I was working on," she said.
Judge Stephanie Sautner sentenced Lohan to 120 days in jail and 480 hours of community service after ruling that her arrest for necklace theft violated her probation. Lohan was only released after posting bail. "I was kind of shocked, I didn't really expect the outcome to be what it was, but I'm a big girl and I'm going to do what I'm told to do, continue on with working in my life and I'm taking responsibility," Lohan said.
Lohan said her run-ins with the law and jail time were a 'wake-up call' and that she was not a kid anymore. Some of her troubles stemmed from being so successful at a young age and not 'appreciating' what she had. "But I am not a kid anymore. I am 24. I have made a lot of mistakes and I recognize that, but I am in the clear now and as long as I stay focused, I will be able to achieve what I want to achieve," Lohan added.
