Nicolas Cage
Some people never had the exquisite pleasure of daring cops to arrest them. And then cursing oneself when they promptly do just that, cart you off to the local cells thereby rudely interrupting your night's drinking.
Nicolas Cage saw his sprawling Tudor mansion in Bel-Air up for auction in a foreclosure sale yesterday. Cage had been trying to sell the property for $35 million but the bidding on the property was opened at $10.4 million. Even at that the property failed to sell. The main reason could have been not one single person showing the slightest bit of interest in the property as it was auctioned on the steps of county courthouse in Pomona. That lack of interest is a sure sale killer.
In another blow to actor Nicolas Cage's financial status, his ex-girlfriend has decided to sue him $13 million, claiming 'mental, physical and emotional abuse'. Christina Fulton, mother of Cage's 18 month old son says the actor promised to sign over a home to her in Hancock Park in 2001, but she only discovered he had not done so when she was given 60 days to vacate the property. Foreclosure proceedings have begun on the property.
Nicolas Cage is suing his former business manager for $20 million claiming he received poor financial advice. Samuel Levin was Cage's business manager from 2001 to 2008 and has worked in the industry for 25 years.
