Some people never had the exquisite pleasure of daring cops to arrest them. And then cursing oneself when they promptly do just that, cart you off to the local cells thereby rudely interrupting your night's drinking.
Police in New Orleans say they arrested Nicolas Cage after a very public argument with his wife on the street. He was 'heavily intoxicated' and onlookers reported seeing Cage push his wife. The incident occurred as the pair began arguing over the address of an apartment that they were staying in. Cage insisted they were at the right property, the missus disagreed and he then pushed or pulled her in the direction of the apartment. He then tried to get into a cab.
Onlookers flagged down a passing police car and brought the incident to a whole new level. After speaking with Cage, the officer "immediately observed that Cage was heavily intoxicated, and ordered him out of the cab." The officer arrested him on one charge of domestic violence and one count of public drunkenness. Apparently, Cage 'dared' the officer to arrest him - TMZ reported that after being told by the officer to go home, Cage shouted back, "Why don't you just arrest me?"

After a brief court appearance this morning, Cage was released on $11,000 bail.
