If you are gonna crash - for heaven's sake, do it in style. These guys did it with eight ferraris, three Mercedes-Benzes, two Toyotas and a Lamborghini thrown in, just to mix it up a bit.The $4 million pile up in Japan started when the lead Ferrari driver crashed into the guardrail. A giant asteroid will pass closer to the earth than the moon on Tuesday night (8th November). Asteroid 2005 YU 55 will pass c. 200,000 miles from earth which in terms of the size of the universe can be seen as a hair's breath of a miss. The asteroid is about a quarter of a mile wide and were it to crash into earth would be equal to thousands of Hiroshima's exploding at once.

The Wikileaks founder, Julian Assange, has lost a case in the High Court in London against his extradition to Sweden to face allegations of rape. Arrested last December on foot of a warrant from Sweden, Assange has since been on bail with strict conditions - including house arrest at Ellingham Hall in Norfolk, UK. He must also sign on daily at the police station and wears an electronic tracking device.

Something great is happening. But ssssh, mainstream media is ignoring it in case it gains momentum - which it just has. Ordinary citizens have descended on Wall Street in protest at the billions of dollars handed over to bankers to bail them out. Three hundred protesters gathered the first night and were joined overnight by several hundred more. Organisers claim up to 5,000 are now taking part.
