Cheryl Cole, member of Girls Aloud and most recently one of the judges of the xFactor UK. Born  in 1983 this 25 year old stunner has never been far from the headlines since her audition for Girls Aloud in 2002.

Hailing from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Cheryl won her first competition at the age of six - the "World Star of Future Modelling". In 2006 she reportedly earned £200,000 to become the face of Coca-Cola Zero for its UK launch. A far cry from the wages of a waitress who auditioned for Girls Aloud.

In 2003 she was found guilty of punching a toilet attendant in the face during a night out in Guildford. Cleared of racially aggravated assault, she was sentenced to 120 hours of community service for the lesser charge of occasioning actual bodily harm.

Her media spats with Ulrika Jonsson are Charlotte Church are well known. Ulrika branded her an 'arrogant bully' after her conviction for assault. Charlotte Church has said Girls Aloud will never be able to reach her performance as a singer because "they just don't have the range".

 Cheryl has said that Charlotte copied the image that made Girls Aloud a success. In 2006, commenting on Charlotte Church's appearance in an advert for Walkers Crisps, Cheryl reportedly said: "Stuffing her face? Very appropriate".

Of Footballers wives Cheryl hasn't held back either. Despite spending a lot of time with them during the 2006 World Cup in Germany, Cheryl said of them:

"Who’s got the best watch on, who’s got the best bag, which wife is dressed the best, which has got the best hair? ... I was in Girls Aloud before I met Ashley and have my own successful career. I’m not going to 
quit the band and sit around in the sun all day or go shopping with Ashley’s plastic. If I’m going shopping I’ll pay with the money I’ve worked hard for. I would die of embarrassment if I had to resort to taking boyfriend’s cards.”

Not very diplomatic then. 

Cheryl married Ashley Cole on Friday 14th July at Sopwell House Hotel near St. Albans. The wedding was for close friends and family only.
