Isla Fisher

I remember Isla Fisher from her role as Shannon Reed on Home and Away. She was hard to miss - that bright red hair, the bouncy, infectious characterisation and the smile that was flirty - but not flirting. She's one of those girls that just look - well, innocent. Which made her crazy and nymphomaniacal acting on Wedding Crashers (2005) all the more funny. A sweet, sweet girl that turns into a sex crazed addict in the sack. Dreams are made of such things.
Her name, Isla, comes from the Scottish island Islay. Her parents are Scottish but she was born in Muscat, Oman (February 3rd, 1976) as her father is a banker with the United Nations. She appeared in commercials in Australia from the age of nine and after her stint at Home and Away went to a theatre and arts training school in Paris (Internationale de Theatre Jacques Lecoq).
While working on Home and Away she also wrote and published two novels 'Seduced by Fame' and 'Bewitched.'
Isla attracted the attention of that goof ball dog Scooby-Doo (2002) in the film version, playing his love interest Mary-Jane. She played the part wearing a blonde wig as Sarah Michelle Gellar was supposed to be the only redhead in the film.
More recent film appearances include Wedding Crashers (2005), The Lookout (2007), Definitely, Maybe (2008) and Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009). 2010 will see her star in the black Comedy Burke and Hare.

Married to none other than Sacha Baron Cohen (think of Borat and Ali G), the couple got engaged in 2004. Sacha better know what he's doing because Isla is quoted as saying "I love the power women have. I think women rule the world because they rule men. Manipulating men - that's our job. That's what we're on the planet for."

Isla converted to Judaism after three years of study and the couple married in March, 2010. They have one daughter together, Olive born on October 19th, 2007 in LA. The good nature in Isla was evident in a much quoted line from Isla on her acting career to date "I love acting, love it. It's the greatest fun in the world. I've always had no trouble feeling extremely grateful. So even though, comparatively, I wasn't doing so well, I thought I was on top of the world."
