Mischa Barton another English babe to hit our screens. Most known for her role in The O.C. where she played Marissa Cooper.

Prior to The O.C. she had roles in Notting Hill, The Sixth Sense and most recently Lawn Dogs. Lawn Dogs has been Mischa Barton's  first leading role and has earned her critical aclaim already. At 22 years she's had a career that most actresses just dream about.

Mischa Barton has also appeared in numerous print and advertising campaigns most notably Calvin Klein, Neutrogena and Dooney and Bourke.

One dark cloud currently hanging over Mischa Barton is her drink driving arrest on December 12th 2007. She instantly admitted responsibility and is on three years unsuperivsed probation. We say well done for not trying to fight the charges and owning up. Her own comments on the affair display her down to earth personality:

"I was pulled over... just that. Obviously, I’m 100% responsible for my actions in this case and I’m really disappointed in myself... I don’t know what to say about it, except that I’m not perfect and I just don’t ever intend to do something this stupid again."

More recently its been rumoured that she had moved to Paris, France whilst her driving ban remains in America.

After being hospitalised on July 15th 2009, her representative confirmed that she would be returning to the set of The Beautiful Life in New York City.
