Weight lifting accidents

Weight lifting accidents. We love them. From the clumsy to the horrific, we've dug out the best. Some are cringe worthy, others deserve to be awarded medals for feats of dedication. We could easily tut tut and whinge on about spotters, gripping the bar properly and not attempting heavy weights that are way out of reach but it's funnier watch the videos of mangled bones.
I blacked out and nearly smashed my larynx video
This guy is lucky. If that bar had landed on his face...
Chest Compression
This guy is lucky not to have split his ribcage wide open. After benching 295 lbs, he tried 305 lbs, but the bar slips from his grip. You can read his full explanation of what went on HERE.The end result was a bruised chest for a few days.
Locker Smash
Squats. You get down but can't get back up. No worries, just drop the weight behind you.
Curling accident
This has to be one of the funniest weight lifting accidents for the sheer unluckiness of it. Exercising in front of the mirror with a chick right beside you. You end up on your ass while doing curls. I'd just move to another gym.
OMFG - is my ass really stuck in the air?
It's bad enough being caught with your ass in the air and a leg in a stirrup when you're in the privacy of your own home, but in public?
The video that shouldn't quiet be here.
When men smash something, why do we start yelling for mama? It is primal instinct? Either way, this guy can look on the bright side - he's not hurt. Pity the poor fish though.
Even the Pro's do it
Even the pro's get mangled. This crazy guy was Ri Kyong Sok, attempting to lift 157KG. Lucky not to have his head smashed by weights.
But the winner is...
We had to give number one to Janos Baranyai, who was trying to snatch 148kg(326lbs.) in his third lift in the men's 77-kg division, when his elbow popped out of socket. No longer able to support the weight of the barbell, his right forearm bent backward. The 24-year-old Hungarian fell to the floor in shock, shaking and crying out in pain. Bejing, 2009.
