 We've come a long way since Stone Age body language involving clubs and loin cloths. Or at least we here at ThugVillage like to think most of us have anyway. Our body language is something that can speak volumes about our true intentions and thoughts - and it’s very hard to hide. It’s been with us since we were children and even with conscious attempts to hide it, signals seep through to the outside world.
Everyone knows someone that says nice things when people are around and in private confesses exactly the opposite. Just as we all know someone that that says one thing and does another. It could even be us! At times it can be frightening to watch you're loved one turn into a maniac as she lambasts you for not knowing what she 'really meant'. At other times we miss vital clues that signal a females interest in us. Here we give you the most important body language tips that can really help you tell when a girl is attracted. Their easy to remember and commonly occur. She stands with off weight foot pointing towards you. With the weight firmly on one foot, the other leg is pointed in your general direction. Signifies an interest in you, possibly sexual. Crossed arms / legs Defensive posture. Either the surroundings are making her uncomfortable - or you are. Back up! Is she sitting on a wet rock in the pouring rain? It could be the surroundings - hang tough. Is she amongst her own friends in her favourite bar - get lost! Glancing Down A useful indicator in arguments or discussions. When you comment she glances downwards. It is a fleeting glance, but one that signifies disapproval of what you said. A pull-back by her (like a recoil) also indicates a desire to distance herself from your comments. Momentary smiles Contrary to popular belief a smile that appears and then disappears a moment later is genuine. No smiles last a long period of time. In fact any smile held for longer than 3-5 seconds is most likely a fake smile. One manufactured as either a self defence mechanism or one manufactured to make you feel comfortable. Politicians are notable here for having permanent smiles latched across their faces. Watch the eyes when someone smiles. Their eyes will smile too when it’s genuine. Glancing sideways/upwards when talking. Coupled with not looking directly at you, it can be a sign of lying. Look for pauses coupled with upwards or sideways glances. Somebody lying needs to think of what they are lying about. When somebody is telling the truth body language is a lot more fluid and open. Fidgeting and perspiration are also signals of lying. This can be entirely useful as you listen to her knockback excuse. Not that that happens you... Raised eyebrows A difficult one to catch but one that is universal. When we meet someone that we are attracted to, our eyebrows raise and then drop for just over a fifth of a second. Incase you've had to many rum and cokes to catch this without appearing fixated with her thinly plucked eyebrows, watch her eyebrows as you talk. Slightly raised eyebrows indicate an attraction. As does open eyes and open mouth. Both may not last very long, and both male and female display this trait. Hair flicking.  It’s another universal body language trait amongst both male and females that indicates attraction. Girls flick their hair, men rearrange their hair. It may occur when the other party isn't watching. On your next trip to the bar, look back and check out the hair grooming that occurs. If hair flicking occurs while you're present check for skin being exposed - another indication that she's interested.
Face touching. Not you mauling her face - her touching her own! Both men and women are more likely to touch their faces whilst in conversation with someone that attracts them. Face touching can occur with more sips being taken from a drink, more drags from a cigarette, cheek and chin rubbing. Take my advice and discount nose picking from this category. Clothing rearrangement. This does not refer to ripping clothes off her at the end of the night, or waving various anatomy parts at her from afar. She may loosen or tighten her clothes, or remove a coat. Again check for skin being exposed. Men are also great clothing fixers. We pull at our shirts, tighten our ties. mess with our cuff links. It has a lot to do with drawing attention to our bodies and saying 'I'm healthy and fit'. Lip preening Lip what? When a girl applies lipstick, or licks her lips or applies lip balm it can be a sign of sexual attractiveness. Eating something slowly can also be an indication. Of course if its minus 10 and her lips are a strange shade of white, then please do not take this to heart. To keep things simple keep the following three things in mind. More skin, preening and genuine smiles are all indicators of sexual attraction. Not looking in your direction, refusing to talk to you and dagger motions are general indications she's not actually that keen. |
