Necklaces can enhance your image. However they must be chosen to match the right clothing. There should be a definite image goal in your selection of a necklace.
 A natural divide for necklaces exists between the those under 35 and those over. For the younger male, necklaces asides from those made with precious metals can be worn. For those over 35,stick with precious metals. After all, ripped jeans may be cool, but ripped jeans on a 50 year old just look woeful. Another natural divide exists between the metals and non metals. Metals, particularly precious metals make the wearer look richer, more powerful and more aged. Conversely more natural material necklaces can make the wearer appear carefree and easy going.
Next time you pass a mirror glance at your neckline rather than your chest and crotch as per usual. Those with long necks can wear thicker necklaces. On the other hand, men with shorter necks should stick with thinner material for their necklaces. Doing so will help the neck look more proportional.

Therefore wearing a thin chain can dilute the whole effect of an expensive metal. Always choose a medium thickness chain for maxiumum effect. If you want to cheat and use a cheaper metal, then ensure that it is in pristine condition and no oxidation of the metal has occurred. Green rings along the neckline do nothing for the wearer.
 Natural material necklaces are more suited to informal occasions and casual wear. Therefore t-shirts and casual shirts match well with them. Wearing a bracelet of the same material gives a co-ordinated look to the outfit.
Creative designs can be hung from necklaces. The two most common are crosses and dog-tags. Dog-tags are more suited to the younger male or of course military men. Crosses are suitable for all ages. Whatever hangs from the chain should be made from the same material and be the same thickness as the necklace itself.
 All necklaces should be worn naturally inside the clothing. If they are visible then thats fine, but leaving them on display outside clothing is a big no-no unless you are one of the following: Artist, Musician, Writer, Hippy, Rapper or Gangster.
