Men's Trends - Our Scientific Research Results

We keep a beady eye on the lateste in men's trends. Whats trends are rising and what trends are falling.

 

Its important to keep an eye on the latest trends. Marketing companies have been doing it for donkeys years. We've been doing it since - well, a couple of months. But don't let that put you off. Our research department has billed us for hundeds of man hours claiming 'trend research'. They had to produce something for it, so here it is. A handy, regularly updated list of the the risers and fallers in mens trends.

 

 

Latest Revision to Trends:

 

28th April, 2010: Removed round sunglasses from Falling trends.

Added ankle pants to falling trends.

20th January, 2010: Removed Military Jackets from Rising trends

Added Classic jackets to rising trends

18th December, 2009: Added 3 piece suits to Rising trends.

Spiked hair moved to down trend.

24th September, 2009: Ankle pants added to the down trend.

Black Watches - Seductive, deep and mysterious. Perfect. A strong trend upwards continues and we expect these to continue gaining in popularity into 2010

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Slick -back - Flawless, timeless and iconic. Greed is good people. A strong trend for late 2009 and spring 2010.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Classic Style Jackets - Gone are the overly military jackets of 2009. Early trends for 2010 suggest classic looks with only a trace of the military about them.

 

 

 

 

Hats

With the onset of winter hats are back - go for any flat cap or newsboy type cap styled with a modern edge. This will be a short lived rise

 

 

3 Piece Suits

Sharp, warm, sophisticated and back in fashion. They never really go away do they?

Spiked hair

Okay guys, enough is enough. Dampen it down, ruffle it, shave it or grow it. But do not spike it.

 

 

 

 

 

Crocs: The ugly shoe that lasts for ever. Finally the company has realised that once people have the same shoe in different colors, they won't keep just buying more of the same type shoe. Not only is the fashion fad on the way down, the company risks going under.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ankle Pants - The drive by fashion houses to dress men in ankle pans has been gathering pace. Men are refusing to bare their hairy ankles in submission to the designs of designers that really should know better. Dead on arrival.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Skinny Jeans - That they made a comeback was bad enough. Good riddance. May you never be seen again.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ankle Pants - Over before it even started. Forget the walkways. Just like skinny jeans this trend should never have seen the light of day. Wear ankle pants at your own peril.
