Working since she was fifteen Gabrielle Richens first signed with the Elite modeling agency. Born in September 1974 she shot to fame in Australia following a very public relationship with rugby league player Solomon Haumono.
Her nickname 'The Pleasure Machine' came from an early advert she appeared in for Virgin Airlines. The tag line for the commercial was 'all aboard the pleasure machine' - referring to the airline and not Gabrielle. Richens has indicated its a nickname she's not particularly fond of.
After meeting Richens in a club, Solomon Haumono left for the UK to be with Richens. However he never bothered to inform his club of his decision and there was huge controversey when he returned as to whether his contract with the club should be cancelled.
Following on from the controversey, Richens posed nude for Australian Black + White magazine and also in the March edition of Australian Playboy.
After returning to the UK in 2001 Richens co-presented the game show The Desert Forges for FIve. She also went on to present 3001: A Sex Oddity. Her debut appearance in film was in 'Hack!'. She regularly models for Speedo, Debenhams, Next and Scott Henshall.
