Full Name: Angelina Jolie Voight. Daughter of the famous academy award winning Mr. Jon Voight. Angelina grew up with films in the blood.
Angelina cut her teeth in acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute where she trained and performed in several productions. SHe also appeared in some of her brothers James Haven, films. Her relationship with her father has been periodically strained and in 2002 she legally changed her name to Angelina Jolie - offically dropping the 'Voight'. Angelina's first major starring role was in Hackers (1995), but it was Laura Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) that really brought her to world attention. Since then she has risen to become one of the highest paid actresses in the world. Since the Laura Croft series of films she has appeared in several blockbusters including Alexander the Great (2004), Taking Lives (2004) and Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005). It was on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith that she met her current partner Brad Pitt. The film itselft earned more the $450m and was acclaimed for the chemistry between Pitt and Jolie onscreen. Jolie has always hinted at bisexuality saying of her Firefox co-star Jenny Shimizu:
""I would probably have married Jenny if I hadn't married my husband. I fell in love with her the first second I saw her."
And in 2003 when asked if she was bisexual she responded: "Of course. If I fell in love with a woman tomorrow, would I feel that it's okay to want to kiss and touch her? If I fell in love with her? Absolutely! Yes!"

Her work in locations such as Cambodia promted Angelina to become a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN refugee Agency. Her work has brought much needed publicity to several causes and she has travelled widely and devoted much time to this endeavor. She has paid for much of her own travel and expenses in the course of this work and insists on sharing the same accomodation and living standards aas the UNHCR staff. Explaining her decision to become a Goodwill Ambassador:
"We cannot close ourselves off to information and ignore the fact that millions of people are out there suffering. I honestly want to help. I don't believe I feel differently from other people. I think we all want justice and equality, a chance for a life with meaning. All of us would like to believe that if we were in a bad situation someone would help us"
