Flash Drive Digital Voice Recorder
Looks exactly like a flash stick but can pick up perfect voice recordings over a five meter radius. Over 145 hours of talktime can usually be stored before the device has to be emptied. Even when examined closely there is nothing to see.Ever better the device does not have to be plugged into the computer to operate. It can be left lying around the desk and still record for up to 8 hours. To recharge, simply plug into the PC. Good quality ones can cost upwards of $150 Digital Voice Recording Pen +MP3 Player +Flash Drive 512MB +Ball Pen
Specifications vary from retailer to retailer but the above is typical. We're sure you will find use for all the other functions of this pen (James Bond would) but we're concerned here witht he Digital voice recording. Although it did record voices, quality was not great, and capture time is limited - about 5 minute bursts. Great if you are having a conversation directly with the person but useless if you have to leave the room. Costs on average $25 Bionic Ear with Booster
These work by increasing the sound by up to 40 decibels. Comnined with the booster, you can pick out very specific sounds, ignoring the background noise. You can also record the sound with an output jack. Ideal if you have the time to sit and camp waiting for your boss to start talking. Otherwise, pretty useless for spying. The MatchStick lapel / Lavaliere microphone
Barely noticeable this device is 1/8" in diameter. Comes with a connector for securing in place. Youl will require any Minidisc, Dat, or Analog recorder to store the data. Great for covert conversation recording. Cost about $140 The Telespy
A Combination of a telephone, motion sensor and microphone. Whe the motion sensor detects movement it will diall a preset number entered by you. You can then listen in on the conversation using the microphone. Great if your neighbour doesn't know what their phone looks like. Terrible if their cat sits by the phone. One annoying thing about the telespy is it disconnects every thirty seconds and then starts checking for movement again. You can easily miss the juicy bits of the conversation with this. Wireless Microphone System
Classic covert survellence kit here. Strap it on and start recording. Great to wear on a night out and replay the next day.Cost $130 |
