We all have areas where we'd like to improve ourselves. But sometimes its the small things that count. Its the small changes that we make to ourselves that open new doors and get us moving forward again. So try the below, you'll be surprised how good they'll make you feel.
10. Nutrition. Easy peasy. Eating junk = fat. Not eating = skinny. Simple right? Proper nutrition is a must for those seeking not only a good looking body but also good health. Get rid of the junk food, sweets, chocolates, soda and crisps. Have a decent breakfast to start the day (porridge, scrambled eggs, wholemeal bread etc.) For lunch a healthy sandwich or meal and dinner should be clean carbs (brown rice, pasta or potato), lean red meat, chicken, turkey, or fish and all the fruit and veg you can handle. Don’t be a fool and try getting by on two slices of lettuce a day or gobbling down junk food trying to gain weight. Long term healthy eating means good health & body. 9. Exercise. Exercise is not an option, its a necessity. Exercise should consist of weight training to stimulate muscle growth and cardio to burn excess fat. Not only will it make you look good, it'll make you feel good too. Endorphins are released, the heart and lungs cleared, even dirty pores on your skin cleansed with hard sweat from the effort. Make exercise a lifetime hobby and you wont regret it. 8. Clothes. Girls like clothes. Fact. If their not actually shopping then they’re thinking of shopping. Look around you at well dressed men - they look better, more organised and more successful. Spend time choosing your clothes. Make sure they fit well. Jeans should fit snugly around the waist, hug the butt and just cover the top of your shoe. T-Shirts and shirts should emphasize the chest, the seam where the sleeve and shoulder meet sitting atop your shoulder joint, not hanging halfway down your arm. If your not sure, dress simply - jeans and a t-shirt, trousers and a shirt, a well fitted suit. Avoid the latest trends if your unsure about clothes - remember fashion comes and goes but style stays. You don't have to spend a fortune looking good - the trick is clean, well fitting clothes. 7. Grooming. We're not talking poncy here, just a bit of cleanliness. Shower and shave before you go out. Keep your hair in order. Cut any ear or nostril hairs. If you have to, pluck your eyebrows. Heck, if you want you can trim 'down there'. Point is, look after yourselves. Girls don’t want dirty hairy apes hanging off their arms. 6.Accessories - No, not bags and earrings. A nice watch, even some aftershave will do. No need for twenty rings on your fingers or ten necklaces. You don’t want to be like a walking jewelry store when your out and about. KEEP IT SIMPLE! 5. Shoes - Get rid of the hippie sandals, the tattered trainers or the King Kong army boots. When your buying shoes or smart boots wear the pants your most likely to be wearing them with. That way you can easily judge if they suit and fit right. 4. Manners - Your mother was right when she said there's no excuse for bad manners. You don't have to fall over yourslef for everyone, but do try to verbalise more than grunts when speaking. Open doors, say please and thank you, make eye contact. You'll be surprised much more receptive people are to you. 3. Talk - Don’t sit there with monosyllabic answers to all questions. Talking to people can open doors and opportunites for us. It can lead to better jobs, great deals and business opportunities. It opens us up to social invitations and makes us friends. However we should also take the time to... 2. Listen - People love talking about themselves. Its highly theurapetic. So listen once in a while. Espicially with girls. Even if she's talking about THE MOST BORING THING IN THE WORLD, nod your head, say ah-ha and at least give the impression you care. Listening means you’re interested in what they have to say. 1. SMILE - and say HELLO. Start off on the right foot. Keep an upbeat attitude and know that you will make the changes that will lead to a better quality of life. Even if life stinks right now, you can take comfort in knowing that the changes you make now mean a better future. |
