Dsquared2 - Blood, cuts, gashes and black eyes adorned the models as they strutted their way down the catwalk. Bill Kaulitz (from the band Tokio Hotel) was lofted in a cage complete with black wings. Some of the clothes had blood stains on them. And you know what? It worked. We've come to expect something special from Dsquared2. They didn't disappoint.
Parc 81 bills itself as representing a contemporary and upscale lifestyle and for once the marketing spin describes the clothing. Founded in 1981, Parc 81 has attracted quiet a following, its clothes holding the style of the quintessential American design. Much like Calvin Klein does minimalism and Giorgio Armani does sharp suits, so Parc 81 does casual American sportswear.
There are some cars that are just fine. They do what they say, the interior is good, solid even, maybe a few flourishes of design creativity splashed on the dash. Maybe the car has got a button for ignition rather than a key - something to distinguish it from last years model. Something the consumer can brag about, to brighten up their day.
OntFront has released its Fall-Winter Collection for 2010, inspired by sleek sports cars like Lamborghini and Spyker. Called 'Shift Gear,’ this is a dark collection, fitting perfectly into the city night. The two-tone jackets and meshing of leather and cloth sit well with cool wines, bright reds and splashes of eggwhite. The awful moustaches and driving gloves will be forgiven by most.
Versace took a step into a harder more futuristic look with its men's collection for Fall Winter 2010. Leather, chains and mesh shirts, together with clean cut lines gave the collection a raw feeling of rebelliousness, almost as if the punk rock attitude of seventies and eighties had been transported into a technological future.
